Starting this year, the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) is making Generating Availability Data System (GADS) performance and event reporting mandatory for solar sites with a total capacity of 100 MW or greater. In 2025, the reporting threshold will apply to sites with a capacity of 20 MW or more.
If you have wind farms in your portfolio, you already know that staying compliant with NERC’s GADS reporting requirements can be demanding and time-consuming.
That’s where Power Factors comes in. Our Drive asset performance management (APM) solution now includes reporting functionality to help you quickly generate GADS performance reports for all your solar sites.
Drive’s GADS report builder turns an otherwise tedious, manual task into an automated, streamlined process, gathering all necessary data and performance metrics for you. It then validates the data for discrepancies and compiles it according to NERC’s specifications.
After processing the data, Drive generates accurate, correctly formatted GADS reports that can be tailored to your organization’s needs. For example, you can select specific timeframes, create ad-hoc reports, or dig deeper into the data for analysis.
With Drive, you can stay ahead of reporting requirements and focus on what matters most: optimizing performance and maximizing revenue.
As renewable energy becomes increasingly established in the global energy sector, reliable reporting on system availability is crucial. However, managing these reports can be time- and labor-intensive.
With Drive, you can manage evolving NERC reporting requirements efficiently and with confidence, knowing that your reports are formatted correctly and populated by accurate data points.
If you’re already a Drive customer, you can reach out to your Customer Success Manager (CSM) for more information on how Drive helps you with evolving NERC GADS reporting requirements.
And did you know that Drive already handles GADS reporting for wind? Along with the new GADS for solar release early next year, we also will be adapting our wind reporting to accommodate the new 2024 requirements.
