February’s Product Spotlight introduces new features and enhancements to our Unity Asset Performance Management (APM) solution and our Central SCADA and EMS offering.
Designed to provide deeper visibility, stronger control, and smarter automation, these latest enhancements reduce manual effort, improve operational oversight, and enable faster, more informed decision-making across your team. Here’s what’s new:

Easier event tracking with customizable event codes
For asset managers overseeing multiple sites, maintaining consistent event classifications can be a challenge. While some events need to follow company-wide standards, others require site-specific adjustments.
The new Event Code Sets configuration offers a centralized way to manage event codes, allowing for enterprise-level overrides while maintaining location-specific flexibility.
Users can now customize:
-
Event Type
-
Grouping (Inclusion/Exclusion)
-
Priority
-
Default Categories (IEC Levels 1-5, Component, System, Responsibility etc.)
-
Custom Categories (User-defined based on site-specific contracts & regulations)
This flexibility not only saves time but also ensures that reports are more accurate and aligned with your company’s policies. Teams have instant access to even more consistent, reliable data across every site, fueling better-informed, data-driven decisions without conflicting classifications.
Better visibility into remote resets
When an operator performs a remote reset—such as restarting a turbine or inverter from a distance—it’s critical to have a clear record of what happened, when it happened, and who performed the action.
Without a centralized log, tracking these resets can become a fragmented process, leading to blind spots in operations, compliance risks, and difficulty troubleshooting recurring issues.
With the Remote Reset action in the Event Log menu, every remote reset is now automatically recorded within a single, auditable log. Each reset is automatically logged with:
-
Operator name
-
Timestamp
-
Reset rules and status
Stored in the Audit Log, these records are now easily reviewed for compliance and operational tracking. Additionally, resets can now be filtered within events, helping teams quickly link resets to the incidents that triggered them.
By eliminating uncertainty around resets, operators can quickly troubleshoot issues, maintain regulatory compliance, and establish a more accountable reset process.
Expanded device monitoring for faster troubleshooting
Understanding the state of your assets in real-time is essential for reducing downtime and maintaining peak performance.
The Device State Dashboard has been expanded to provide a more comprehensive real-time view of asset health. Instead of being limited to site- and generator-level monitoring, operators can now track a broader range of devices, such as strings, combiners, and meters.
New capabilities include:
-
Drill-down functionality – Click directly into open events to identify root causes faster.
-
Real-time site KPIs – Get instant performance insights to assess asset efficiency.
-
Improved device hierarchy view – Detect cascading issues that could impact multiple assets.
With all these insights available in a single interface, teams can now identify, investigate, and act more efficiently.
Better maps for faster decision-making
For large renewable energy fleets, the ability to visualize asset data is key to operational efficiency.
Our updated Map Widget now allows users to zoom in on specific sites and generators directly from the map, without the need to manually search for them. This auto-zoom feature simplifies navigation, making it easier to focus on areas that need immediate attention.
Real-time device states and KPIs are now shown directly on the map, helping operators quickly assess performance, identify underperforming assets, and take action when needed.
By integrating these real-time insights into an easy-to-navigate interface, operators can proactively monitor assets, prioritize maintenance, and improve overall fleet efficiency.
Smarter device overview for faster performance analysis
The Device Overview Widget (formerly named the Table Widget) has been upgraded to simplify performance tracking across multiple asset types.
Instead of managing different device types in separate views, operators can now:
-
Monitor all device types in a single, aggregated table.
-
Compare real-time and historical KPIs for more insightful performance analysis.
-
Group data by metadata for customized sorting.
-
Toggle between site and generator views for the right level of detail.
These updates make performance analysis more efficient, intuitive, and actionable, helping teams gain deeper insights into asset health and make faster, data-driven decisions.
New Features/Enhancements in Unity Central SCADA
A fresh look for a more unified experience
We’ve refreshed the Unity Central SCADA platform with a modern, more intuitive interface, creating a more unified experience across our SCADA, EMS, and APM product offerings.
The redesigned platform now includes:
-
An improved Fleet Manager
-
An upgraded Event Viewer
-
Streamlined Preferences pages
This update not only makes the Central SCADA and EMS application easier to navigate and more enjoyable to use but also helps operators work more efficiently and reduce friction when interacting with the platform.
Stronger security and easier access with single sign-on (SSO)
Security and ease of access go hand in hand. Unity Central SCADA now supports SSO authentication, allowing cloud-hosted customers to log in using their preferred global identity provider (e.g., Azure AD).
With SSO integration, users benefit from:
-
Stronger security by reducing the risk of unauthorized access
-
Simplified login management, allowing one set of credentials for multiple platforms
-
Enhanced data protection, as Unity no longer stores login credentials
By integrating SSO, we’re making authentication faster, more secure, and frictionless—giving users a smooth login experience without compromising security.
